Building a Trauma Sensitive Classoom

Teachers are a central part of our community as they impart cultural and academic knowledge to our next generation. ​Teachers are also front line child protection professionals. Teachers role in child protection is widely known as mandatory reporters, but this is not where it stops. When a child who has lived experiences of trauma is in your classroom, it is useful to have a toolkit of skills and practices to offer. This is where the Trauma Sensitive Classroom can help.
